The secret to pollen removal is Meso pore carbon.

MESO PORES: Meso pores favour 80% of our total carbon structure. It's so simple, extra large pores for extra large particles. Phat Filters do not clog prematurely and last up to three years of continuous heavy usage. Meso pore carbon is as rare as 24 carat gold and about as expensive... but with Phat Filters, we never cut corners!

LIGHT WEIGHT: Large pores create large pockets within the carbon. Meso pore carbon is low density and therefore ultra light weight. Imagine a filter so light that you can Install it by yourself! Phat filter is by far the worlds lightest carbon canister per m2, ASTM guaranteed! (up to three times lighter equivalent alternatives)

2% MOISTURE: Water also increases carbon weight and substantially reduces life span . Our carbon has the lowest moisture content of any carbon canister, garunteed at < 2% when packed (ASTM Guaranteed)

PURE AS GOLD: Phat filters offer one of the highest fixed carbon contents per gram of any carbon on the planet with up to 90% pure carbon in every gram). Every batch of carbon is tested, refined and graded specifically for Phat Filters (See standards for more info).

AC-48 carbon is sold exclusively to Phat Filter. Our 100% virgin carbon is activated in the largest carbon kiln in the southern hemisphere. As part of this activation process, the Company also produce the purest white paint pigment in the world and is the prefered paint pigment supplier to Dulux, Wattle and Dupont. They ensure every batch of AC-48 carbon is independantly laboratory tested for purity and consistency to the highest available standards. The end result is 24 carat carbon (ASTM Garunteed)

CONTACT TIME: Contact time is a measure of how long contaminated air needs to contact carbon for total removal of impurities. At an estimated 0.05 seconds, our carbon has one of the shortest contact times of any carbon available. All the factors discussed above contibute directly to this. This allows Phat Filters to use less carbon than competitors and return massive reduction in overall filter weight with superior university proven results. (bed width only 50mm).
